So today was my first game of the cheerleading/football season. Also, last night Hurricane Irene hit Pennsylvania and knocked over many trees and left many without power, like the football field where we were playing the next day.   When it came time do to our halftime routine, we couldn’t do it because the announcer’s box had no power to play our music.  Here are some ideas of  what the coaches could have done, instead of not doing the routine:

  1. We could use an iPod with some LOUD speakers so the crowd can hear it.
  2. Multiple boom boxes that can play the song loudly.
  3. We could use no music and go through the routine once.

And that’s how you can do cheerleading with NO power!  Time to think outside the pom pom.
